There’s no shortage of ways to explore the natural beauty that Estes Park has to offer; hiking, biking, and horseback riding provide are all hits with locals and tourists alike. However, have you ever wondered wanted to experience Estes Park in all of its glory from a birds-eye view? Estes Park offers several excursions and attractions that will take you up, up, and away, giving you a new perspective on this gorgeous area.
Estes Park is home to a zipline, adventure park, and an aerial tramway that will take you to new heights. The Estes Park Condos team would love to recommend our favorite ways to view the area from up in the sky; without further ado, here’s a list of our favorite ways to get a birds-eye view of Estes Park.
Open Air Adventure Park
Explore the skies of Estes Park at Open Air Adventure Park. Open Air Adventure Park has been delighting Estes Park locals and visitors alike with exhilarating zipline adventures, swinging platforms, aerial balancing boards, and more since 2014.
One of the most extraordinary things about this aerial park is that there’s no set order; you’re free to explore however you choose. Climb and zip through the park’s 32 challenges from heights of 11 and 21 feet in the air. Don’t worry about difficulty; almost every element can be made easier or harder as needed, making Open Air Adventure Park an ideal aerial adventure for families with children ages six and up.
Estes Park Aerial Tramway
The idea of exploring Estes Park’s mountainous terrain through the air is not a new concept; the history of the Estes Park Aerial Tramway dates back to World War II, but it originally opened for business in 1955. Estes Park Aerial Tramway may not feature the same thrills of a zipline adventure but features a leisurely ascent to the summit of Prospect Mountain, dazzling riders with spectacular views along the way.
Up on top of Prospect Mountain, riders can explore the summit, which is an excellent spot for pictures. A ride on the Estes Park Aerial Tramway is always a good time, but we recommend going in the early morning or late afternoon. These times lead to a less crowded tramway and typically feature calmer weather and better photography opportunities.
